Steal An Egg Wisp Quest: Unlock the Enchanted Tree (2026)

Last updated: 2026-10-10

The Wisp is the Update 7 quest giver in the Enchanted Forest: a small golden spirit that only appears once you reach 50 billion Speed. This page covers how to find it, its three community-recorded quests, how to return it home, and what unlocking the Enchanted Tree actually gives you — with the community-reported parts labelled.

The Wisp is the only way into the Enchanted Tree

There is no bypass. The official patch notes gate the Wisp behind 50 billion Speed, and the Wisp is what unlocks the tree, and the tree is what contains Butterfly Bloom. Skip any link in that chain and the biome’s guaranteed-mutation reward stays closed to you.

What the Wisp does in Steal An Egg

Most updates in Steal An Egg add a biome and stop there. Update 7 layered a quest on top. The Wisp is a small golden spirit stranded at the entrance to the Enchanted Forest, and the official patch notes frame the whole encounter in one sentence: find him, complete his missions, help him return home to the Enchanted Tree, and he unlocks the tree for you in return.

That makes the Wisp a hard progression gate rather than optional content. It is also the first time the game has used a companion-style quest giver this way — earlier events like the Nibbles vault and the Rift boss were loops you could grind without a storyline attached.

How to find the Wisp: the 50B Speed gate

The Wisp does not spawn until you are at 50 billion Speed. The official patch notes say so directly — “you need 50B speed to be able to locate the wisp” — which is unusual transparency from this developer and means there is no ambiguity to argue about. Community checks of the biome’s in-game sign report the same 50B number as the recommended Speed for the zone, so the quest gate and the biome gate are the same wall.

If you are not at 50B yet, the treadmill Speed guide and the biome Speed ladder are the two pages that matter. There is no shortcut past the gate, and any guide offering one is selling something that does not exist.

The Wisp’s 3 quests, step by step

The official patch notes confirm the missions exist but never list them. The tasks below come from a community transcription of the in-game quest text, credited to community contributors who captured it on video. Because that transcription is the only detailed source, every step is labelled with how confident we are in it.

1Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggsCommunity-reported count
2Complete 1 fusion using an Enchanted Forest petCommunity-reported recipe
3Steal any Eternal eggCommunity-reported

Quest 1: Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs

Straightforward once you are inside the biome: run the nest route, carry eggs back to your pen, repeat until the counter clears. The 50B Speed gate already applies, so the guardian is the real obstacle, not the count.

Quest 2: Complete 1 fusion using an Enchanted Forest pet

Done at the base Fuse Machine, not the biome’s hidden one. The transcription that captured the quest text shows three Prism Geckos as the example inputs — that is one player’s run, not a confirmed exclusive recipe, so any Enchanted Forest pet combination that the machine accepts should work.

Quest 3: Steal any Eternal egg

You do not need an Enchanted Forest egg for this one. Any Eternal-tier egg counts according to the transcription, and one source notes another biome works too — which makes this the easiest of the three if you already have an Eternal route running.

Worth knowing: the fusion task is a single fusion, not twenty. Community guides that copy the illustration often misread the three-pet example as three separate fusions. The three pets are the inputs to one machine action.

Why guides say there are four Wisp quests

The confusion comes from a single community illustration. It has four panels and its caption mentions four quests — but the panels themselves show three objectives, and the fourth element is the Wisp’s growth stage rather than a task. Community trackers have since settled on three quests with four visible Wisp stages.

The practical answer: if you complete the three objectives above and the “Return the Wisp” prompt fires, you have the full quest line. If a fourth objective appears in your server that none of the trackers documented, that is new information rather than a mistake — community coverage of this biome is still only a week old.

What unlocking the Enchanted Tree gives you

Returning the Wisp grown and walking back to the tree opens the entrance. Inside, the Butterfly Bloom event runs: pick up a Butterfly Net, catch butterflies, and exchange the haul for the Enchanted Mutation consumable. The official patch notes are explicit that this consumable has a 100% chance of working — no gambling, no failure roll.

That 100% figure is the reason the whole quest chain is worth finishing. The comparable item from the earlier Dr. Scramble event, the Scrambled mutation item, had a reported 1% success chance, so a guaranteed mutation consumable is a different class of reward. Community coverage also places Enchanted Essence and a hidden fusion machine inside the tree, and the official notes confirm a hidden fusion machine exists in the biome as one of two secrets.

For the full biome breakdown, see the Enchanted Forest guide, and for how the Enchanted mutation compares with the older types, the mutations guide.

Confirmed from the official Discord patch notes as republished by the Roblox Game Wiki: the Wisp exists, it needs help, completing its missions and returning it home unlocks the Enchanted Tree, 50B Speed is required to locate it, Butterfly Bloom lives inside the tree with a Butterfly Net, the Enchanted Mutation consumable has a 100% chance of working, and the biome holds two secrets. Community-reported from in-game transcriptions and sign checks (corroborated across StealEgg, Eggipedia and Bloxron): the exact three quest tasks, the 20-egg count, the three-Prism-Gecko example recipe, the 50B sign value, and Enchanted Essence. The “four quests” claim is explained above rather than repeated as fact.

Steal An Egg Wisp Quest — FAQ

What is the Wisp in Steal An Egg?+

The Wisp is a small golden spirit added in Update 7 (October 3–4, 2026) that sits at the entrance to the Enchanted Forest. It is the biome’s quest giver: the official patch notes say a little Wisp needs your help, that you should find him, complete his missions and help him return home to the Enchanted Tree, and that he unlocks the tree for you in return. The same notes confirm the obvious gate — you need 50 billion Speed for the Wisp to appear at all.

How do you find the Wisp?+

You need 50 billion Speed first. The official patch notes state the Wisp only appears once you are at that threshold, and community checks of the biome’s in-game sign report the same 50B number as the area’s recommended Speed. Until you clear that gate the Wisp is not spawned in your server, so there is no shortcut, workaround or glitch that skips it. Once you are at 50B, head to the Enchanted Forest entrance and look for a small glowing golden spirit.

What are the Wisp’s three quests?+

The community transcription of the quest text lists three tasks: steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs, complete one fusion using an Enchanted Forest pet at the base Fuse Machine, and steal any Eternal egg. After that you use “Return the Wisp” and travel back to the Enchanted Tree. The official patch notes confirm the existence of “his missions” without listing them, so the count and wording here are community-recorded rather than developer-published.

Are there three or four Wisp quests?+

Community guides disagree. The illustration circulating in the community mentions four quests, but its own panels show three objectives across four Wisp growth stages — which is the most likely source of the discrepancy. The transcription that captured the actual in-game text lists three tasks, and that is the version used here. If a fourth quest exists, it has not been documented convincingly yet.

What do you get for helping the Wisp?+

The Enchanted Tree. Returning the Wisp grown and heading back to the tree unlocks its entrance, which gives you access to the Butterfly Bloom event inside. Butterfly Bloom lets you catch butterflies with a Butterfly Net and exchange them for the Enchanted Mutation consumable, which the official patch notes confirm has a 100% chance of working. That is the concrete reward chain: Wisp quests → Enchanted Tree → Butterfly Bloom → guaranteed mutation consumable.

Does the Wisp appear outside the Enchanted Forest?+

No. Community coverage places it at the biome entrance, past the Angels and Demons zone, and the official notes tie it to the Enchanted Tree rather than to the wider map. There is no reported second Wisp spawn and no tradeable Wisp item. If anything claims otherwise, treat it as unverified until the community documents it in-game.

How long does the Wisp quest line take?+

The gate is the long part, not the quests. Getting to 50 billion Speed is the single biggest investment in the game so far — roughly two and a half times the 20 billion Angels and Demons requirement. Once you are inside, the three tasks are bounded: 20 eggs is a nest-run grind, one fusion is a single machine action, and any Eternal egg is one steal. No source publishes an official timer, so any specific “hours” figure would be invented.
